Congratulations to Sara Carter, Summer 2013 Student Marshal

9473644290_9156994b7b_o.jpgCongratulations to Sara Carter, who has been selected as the Liberal Arts Student Marshal for the summer commencement ceremony scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013.

A resident of Pittsburgh, Sara will receive a B.A. degree in International Politics with a minor in Spanish. Throughout her Penn State career, she earned all of the top academic honors: Evan Pugh Scholar Award, President Sparks Award, and President's Freshman Award. Other honors include being named to the Dean's List many times and inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society. 

In addition, Sara conducted bilingualism research at The University of Granada, Spain, directed by Dr. Giuli Dussias, under The Center for Language Science and its National Science Foundation PIRE Program.   Her goal is to pursue a career in International Relations, including the Foreign Service in the U.S. State Department.
